Welcome! This is a Lord of the Rings roleplaying game based on the trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien (book verse).

The title promises more than I have - but I found this rather nice article and decided, once again, to share:

It really only came to me when reading somewhere that Weta is bringing out a merchandise of the Black Arrow (my first reaction being Huh, why now, isn't the LOTR merchandise long done?). Has anyone else noticed that the term was stolen from Return of the King?

The Back arrow in the books is the token brought to Théoden by an errant rider from Denethor, indicating that Gondor was in dire need of help.

In the Hobbit, the black arrow replaced the unnamed arrow that Bard killed Smaug with.

Intriguing.

I just found this. It's fairly short, but the questions are quite varied - and in some cases not quite as easy as they might look at first glance. Enjoy!

This is something I have been pondering on and off ever since I played Elrohir the first time ages ago.

Although they can delay their choice, eventually the Elladan and Elrohir will have to decide whether they want to be counted among Men or Elves. As far as I know, Tolkien never decided - or at least never told anyone - which option they would go for in the end.

Hence, it might be interesting to know what people's take is on the matter.

For myself, I am not sure, only that I think they would not do what Elros and Elrond did, one choosing Elf and the other Man. What they do, they do together.

I just saw it! I'll post a review once I managed to work a bit through my to do list that has been sitting there for days. This week has been crazy (and frustrating), and this visit to the movie theatre was just what was needed to wind down enough.
